Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if I just fry some slices of tofu for inari sushi? There aren't any asian markets around and I can't really find it online.

Re: abura-age...inari sushi
Thu, May 18, 2006 - 9:46 AMi buy inari pouches that are vacuum sealed. i can post the brand here later tonight when i get home from work. they're about $1.50 for 12 pockets with packets of powdered vinegar so you can season your rice. in seattle they're in the produce section of the japanese market or in the frozen section of the vietnamese market. there's also brands that are sold in cans, but i haven't tried that yet. bean curd sheets are made at the factory, i've never heard of anyone making it at home. -

Fri, May 19, 2006 - 5:25 PMYeah, I was going to check out a specialty market, but I live in the middle of nowhere nc and the closest asian market is an hour and a half away. I'm going to look some more online. I hadn't heard of anyone making it themselves either, but I figured why not? -
