My friend's mother (from vietnam) used to make these sweet rice balls that had yellow lentils on the outside. Does anyone know what they are or how to make them?

I mean the process of making it should be similar.

(well i would think its always a waste not to learn from our parents/ especially our mom before its too late)
One of my dearest friend, often joke.
that he wasted the time and knowledge, wishes that he would have learnt to cook from his mother's delicious home Indonesia- chinese food
after his mother passed away.
well... what can i say...

Re: sweet rice balls
Thu, May 4, 2006 - 3:19 PMThanks Jensen...if you can't find a recipe though, do you know what kind of lentils or beans might have been on the outside? They were small (like a lentil or split pea) and bright yellow. I think I may be able to figure the rest out...if I'm remembering correctly they also had coconut in them.
